Ice Cream Social followed by a presentation on “Copyright, Trademarks, and Derivative Works of Art” by attorney Gretchen Testerman of Denver, Colorado.
Join us for some ice cream with all the toppings and then prepare to hear Gretchen, an experienced Intellectual Property Attorney with a focus on trademark and copyright law. Gretchen attend-ed the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Loyola Law School in Chicago Illinois. She has been practicing law since 1999 and currently works at Lumen Technologies in Denver, CO. She resides in Colorado with her husband and two teenage sons.
She will provide us with some background information regarding intellectual property and how that would apply to our quilting. This includes cop-yrights, patterns, quilt shows and original works of art.
